(Ecclesiastes 1:16 수고) I communed with my heart, saying, “Look, I have attained greatness, and have gained more wisdom than all who were before me in Jerusalem. My heart has understood great wisdom and knowledge.” 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 지혜와 지식을 부어주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '다윗의 아들 이스라엘의 왕 전도자의 말씀이라'하며 전도자가 헛되고 헛되니 모든 것이 헛되다 하며 해 아래에서 모든 수고가 사람에게 무엇이 유익한가? 질문하고 있다. 또한 한 세대는 가고 한 세대는 오되 땅은 영원히 있다고 하며 해는 떳다가 떳던 곳으로 빨리 돌아가고 바람은 그 불던 곳으로 돌아가고 모든 강물은 바다로 흐르지만 바다를 채우지 못한다 하고 해 아래에 새 것이 없다고 하였다. 또한 이전 세대들이 기억됨이 없다 하며 '나 전도자는 이스라엘 왕이 되어 마음을 다해 지혜를 써서 하늘 아래 행하는 모든 일을 연구한즉 이는 괴로운 것이며 하나님이 인생에게 수고하게 하신 것이다'했다. 아멘

God is the one who pours wisdom and knowledge into His children. In today's text, 'The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king of Israel', the Preacher asks, "Vanity of vanities; all is vanity; what profit is there to man of all his toil under the sun?" He also says, "One generation passes away, and another generation comes, but the earth endures forever." The sun rises and hastens to its place, and the winds return to where they blew. All the rivers run to the sea, but the sea is not full. There is nothing new under the sun. He also says that previous generations are not remembered. He says, "I, the Preacher, was king of Israel. I applied my heart to wisdom and studied all that is done under heaven; it is a hardship, a hardship that God has made man to endure." Amen.
