(Isaiah 37:31~32 열심) And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward. And bear fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, And those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. 하나님은 주의 열심으로 주의 자녀에게 구원을 베푸시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 히스기야 왕이 옷을 찢고 여호와의 전으로 갔고, 엘리아김 등을 이사야에게 보내었는데 그들이 이사야에게 자기들을 위해 간구하기를 구하였다. 이에 이사야가 '앗수르 왕의 종들이 나를 능욕한 일로 말미암아 두려워하지 말라'고 하며 '내가 그를 그의 고국에서 칼로 죽게 하리라'고 주의 말씀을 대언하였다. 또한 히스기야는 여호와의 전에 올라가서 앗수르 왕의 편지를 펴놓고 기도할 때에, 주께서 이사야를 통해서 왕에게 앗수르 왕에 대해 그 분노함과 오만함이 주의 귀에 들렸으므로 주께서 갈고리로 코를 꿰어 오던 길로 돌아가게 하실 것이라 했다. 앗수르 군대 십팔만 오천이 죽고 산헤립이 죽임당했다. 아멘 

God is the one who gives salvation to His children with His zeal. In today's text, King Hezekiah tore his clothes and went to the house of the Lord, and sent Eliakim and others to Isaiah, who asked Isaiah to pray for them. Isaiah said, "Do not be afraid because of the servants of the king of Assyria who have defiled me," and prophesied, "I will put him to death by the sword in his own land." Also, when Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord and spread the letter from the king of Assyria and prayed, the Lord said to him through Isaiah, "The king of Assyria's anger and arrogance have come into the Lord's ears, so the Lord will pierce his nose with a hook and make him return by the way he came." One hundred and eighty-five thousand Assyrian soldiers died, and Sennacherib was killed. Amen.
