어버이날에 드리는 기도
 
살아계신 아버지 하나님, 연약하고 부족한 저희를 부모로 세워주시니 감사합니다.
 
어버이날, 많은 사람들이 부모의 은혜를 생각하며 감사하고 있는데 부모된 저희가 먼저 주님 앞에서 아름다운 부모의 사명을 감당하도록 인도하여 주옵소서.
 
예수님의 사랑을 전하고, 신앙의 대를 이어가며, 자녀들에게 믿음의 본을 먼저 보이며 묵묵히 제자의 길을 걸어가게 하옵소서.
 
또한 자녀들에게 효를 말로 가르치기보다 먼저 우리의 연로하신 부모님들을 기억하고 사랑하는 삶을 통해 본을 보이게 하옵소서.
 
우리 부모님들에게 건강을 주시고 믿음의 거룩한 유산을 남기는 귀한 삶이 되게 하옵소서.
 
어버이날만이 아니라 평생을 살아가며 효도를 실천하게 하옵소서.
 
무엇보다 살아계신 아버지 하나님의 마음을 시원하게 하는 아들, 딸로 이 땅을 살아가게 하옵소서.
 
이 땅 어딘가에 소외되고 고통당하는 부모들의 눈물을 닦아 주시고 우리 가정과 사회가 더 훈훈하고 따뜻한 정이 깃든 터전이 되게 하옵소서.

Prayer for Parents' Day

Living Father God, thank you for raising us as parents to us who are weak and lacking.

On Parents' Day, many people are thinking about the grace of their parents and giving thanks. Please guide us as parents to fulfill our beautiful mission as parents before the Lord.

Please spread the love of Jesus, continue the generation of faith, and set an example of faith for your children first, so that they can quietly walk the path of disciples.

Also, rather than teaching our children filial piety through words, please let us set an example by remembering our elderly parents and loving them.

Please give our parents good health and enable them to live precious lives that leave behind a holy legacy of faith.

Please help me practice filial piety not just on Parents' Day, but throughout my life.

Above all, let me live on this earth as a son and daughter who refreshes the heart of the living Father God.

Please wipe away the tears of parents who are alienated and suffering somewhere on this earth and make our families and society a place full of warmth and affection.

I pray in Jesus name. amen.
