6월 첫날의 기도
 
생명의 근원 되시며 나라의 기초가 되시는 하나님, 새 생명의 운치가 날로 더해가는 6월, 플라타너스 너머로 보이는 푸른 하늘과 맑은 구름이 마음을 시원하게 합니다.
 
주님이 온 세상의 주인으로서 조성하여 주신 이 땅이 참으로 귀하게 여겨지는 이 때에 우리나라를 생각하며 주님께 기도합니다.
 
하나님, 우리나라 역사 굽이 굽이마다 어렵지 않은 시대가 없었습니다.
 
외세의 침략과 정치적 위기, 경제의 어려움과 국민 화합의 위기 등 환난 속에서도 특유의 지혜와 민족성으로 세계 속에서 당당하게 '대한민국'으로 서가게 하시니 감사합니다.
 
이 모든 것이 주님의 은혜임을 고백하며, 믿음의 사람으로서 국가에 대한 책무성으로 더욱 기도하게 됩니다.
 
하나님, 북한과 대치되어 있는 이 안타까운 현실 가운데서 마음과 분열의 터전에 화해와 평화가 싹트고 열매 맺게 하시고 분단국가의 설움이 다음 세대에 이어지지 않도록 도와주옵소서.
 
북한과 우리나라의 교육 현실이 너무나도 많은 차이가 있어 통일 이후의 교육에도 어려움이 예상되지만 하나님의 화목케 하는 은혜로 인해 회복되게 하옵소서.
 
교육을 통해 먼저 통일을 준비하며 하나 됨의 기쁨을 맛보게 하옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Prayer on the first day of June

God is the source of life and the foundation of the nation. In June, when the charm of new life increases day by day, the blue sky and clear clouds seen beyond the plane trees refresh the heart.

At this time when this land that the Lord created as the owner of the whole world is truly considered precious, I think of our country and pray to the Lord.

God, there has never been a time in our country's history that was not difficult.

Thank you for allowing us to proudly stand as the ‘Republic of Korea’ in the world with our unique wisdom and national character, even in the midst of tribulations such as foreign invasions, political crises, economic difficulties, and crises of national harmony.

I confess that all of this is the grace of the Lord, and as a person of faith, I pray more out of responsibility toward the nation.

God, in this unfortunate reality of confrontation with North Korea, please help reconciliation and peace sprout and bear fruit in the hearts and foundations of division, and prevent the sadness of a divided nation from continuing to the next generation.

There are so many differences between the educational realities of North Korea and our country that difficulties are expected in education after unification, but please help us recover through God's reconciling grace.

Let us first prepare for unification through education and experience the joy of unity.

I pray in the name of Jesus. amen.
