자녀의 학업에 대한 부모의 욕심을 내려놓게 하소서
 
지혜와 지식의 근본이 되시는 하나님 아버지, 양육자로 부름 받은 저희들은 그 자녀를 하나님의 마음으로 돌보기보다는 저희의 마음 안에 있는 세상적인 가치관과 교육관으로 양육하였습니다.
 
저희에게 아버지의 마음을 허락하여 주옵소서.
 
하나님을 믿는다 말했지만, 성공과 명예를 추구하는 이 땅의 교육을 그대로 답습하고, 세상적인 부와 명예를 자녀 교육의 성공의 기준으로 삼았습니다.
 
자녀의 시험이 있을 때면 주일 예배를 빠지는 것은 당연히 여기고, 자녀의 마음과 상태를 살피기보다는 시험의 결과에 대해서만 집착했습니다.
 
또한 자녀의 학업 수준도 부모의 기준으로 정해놓고, 자녀가 그 수준까지 도달하기만을 바랐습니다.
 
이제 그 길에서 돌이켜 세상적인 욕심을 내려놓게 하시고 하나님의 교육법으로 돌아가길 원합니다.
 
학업에 있어 자녀가 온전히 하나님을 의지하고 순종하도록 우리의 욕심을 내려놓습니다.
 
우리 자녀들이 소망하는 성공은 경쟁과 쟁취가 아닌 주신 소명을 따라 나눔과 배려와 섬김의 삶을 사는 것임을 가르치는 부모가 되도록 인도하여 주옵소서.

Let parents let go of their greed for their children’s education

God, the foundation of wisdom and knowledge, our parents who are called as parents have raised their children with worldly values and educational views in our hearts rather than caring for them with God’s heart.

Please grant us the heart of a father.

We say that we believe in God, but we have followed the education of this land that pursues success and honor, and we have set worldly wealth and honor as the standards for the success of our children’s education.

When our children had tests, we took it for granted that they would miss Sunday service, and rather than examining their hearts and conditions, we were obsessed with the results of the tests.

We also set our children’s academic level based on our parents’ standards, and we only hoped that our children would reach that level.

Now, let us turn from that path, let go of our worldly greed, and return to God’s educational method.

Let us let go of our greed so that our children can completely rely on and obey God in their studies.

Please guide us to become parents who teach our children that the success they desire is not through competition and achievement, but through living a life of sharing, consideration, and service according to the calling given to them.

I pray in the name of Jesus, the source of wisdom. Amen.
