성내지 않는 부모가 되게 하소서
 
사랑은 성내지 아니한다고 말씀하시는 하나님 아버지, 아이를 대할 때 매번 기독학부모로서 하나님의 뜻을 구하며 양육해야 함을 가슴에 새기고 결심을 하지만 훈육이라는 명목으로 자녀에게 성낼 때가 많았던 모습을 회개합니다.
 
아이들을 양육하면서 감정에 사로잡혀서 분노에 잠식되고, 정신을 차리고 나면 죄책감이 몰려오고 자녀를 실족시키며 친밀한 관계가 어그러지고야 말았던 죄의 짐들을 주님의 십자가 앞에 내려놓기를 원합니다.
 
상처 난 자녀의 마음을 어루만져 주시고 십자가 사랑에 우리를 매어 주옵소서.
 
하나님은 청지기인 부모가 '노하기를 더디하는 자'(잠16:32)가 되기를 원하시는데, 단순히 인내하고 참는 것만으로는 우리 안의 분노를 해결할 수 없음을 고백합니다.
 
자녀를 대하는 모든 순간들마다 내 자신을 직면하면서 스스로가 어떨 때 힘들어 하는지, 어떤 상황에서 화가 나는지, 상황의 한계점을 인식하게 하셔서 부모인 우리의 감정을 진실한 말로 절제하여 표출하는 의지를 주옵소서.
 
분노의 순간이 하나님의 주권과 개입을 바라는 순간이 되게 하시며, 나와 자녀를 위해 분노하는 차원에서 하나님의 마음으로 정의와 공의를 위해 분노함으로 하나님의 귀한 역사를 이루게 하옵소서.

Please let us be parents who do not get angry

God the Father, who says that love does not get angry, I always remember and resolve to seek God's will as a Christian parent when dealing with children, but I repent for the many times I got angry at my children in the name of discipline.

While raising children, I was caught up in emotions and consumed by anger, and when I came to my senses, I felt guilty, and my children stumbled and our intimate relationships were distorted. I want to lay down the burden of sin before the cross of the Lord.

Please comfort the hearts of our wounded children and bind us to the love of the cross.

God wants parents, as stewards, to be 'slow to anger' (Prov. 16:32), but I confess that simply being patient and tolerant is not enough to resolve the anger within us.

Please help us face ourselves every moment we deal with our children, recognize when we are having a hard time, in what situations we get angry, and the limits of the situation, and give us the will to express our emotions as parents with sincere words.

Let the moment of anger become a moment of seeking God's sovereignty and intervention, and let us accomplish God's precious work by being angry for justice and righteousness with God's heart in the dimension of anger for me and my children.
