성공 신화의 욕심을 돌이키게 하소서
 
자녀 양육의 근본이요 참된 방향이 되시는 하나님, 하나님께서 우리 인생의 주인 됨을 입버릇처럼 고백하면서 저의 계획과 세상의 기준을 놓지 못하고 살아왔음을 회개합니다.
 
하나님의 말씀보다 뉴스나 신문, 주변 사람들의 이야기에 집중했던 저의 눈과 귀를 회개합니다.
 
상위 지식을 습득하는 것이 곧 힘이고, 돈이기에 경쟁에서 승리하라고 자녀에게 암묵적으로 가르쳤고, 종용했습니다.
 
세상이 만들어 놓은 성공 프레임에 어느 새 갇혀 기독교적으로 분별하려고 애쓰지 않고, 무작정 따라갔습니다.
 
긍휼히 여겨주옵소서.
 
죄 된 본성은 하나님의 방식을 신뢰하지 못하고 순간 순간 세상이 주는 유혹을 떨치지 못했습니다.
 
저의 욕심인 줄도 모르고, 자녀에게 부모의 방식을 강요해 왔습니다.
 
자녀가 세상이 말하는 성공의 길에 들어서는 것 같으면 안심하고, 그렇지 않으면 불안하여 사교육에 무작정 의존하며 자녀를 다그치기도 했습니다.
 
하나님, 순간 순간 저의 생각과 세상의 기준에 가려 약해지는 마음을 붙들어 주옵소서.
 
이제는 분별의 지혜와 눈을 주시어 왜곡된 교육의 시류, 곧 성공 신화의 욕심에서 돌이켜 하나님의 뜻을 찾게 하옵소서.

Please turn away from the greed of the myth of success

God, who is the foundation and true direction of child-rearing, I confess that You are the master of our lives like a habit, but I repent for living without letting go of my plans and the standards of the world.

I repent for my eyes and ears that were focused on the news, newspapers, and stories of people around me rather than the Word of God.

I implicitly taught and encouraged my children to win the competition because acquiring superior knowledge is power and money.

Being trapped in the frame of success created by the world, I blindly followed it without trying to discern it in a Christian way.

Please have mercy on me.

My sinful nature did not trust God’s way and could not shake off the temptations of the world at any given moment.

I forced my parents’ way on my children without even realizing that it was my greed.

When my children seemed to be on the path to success that the world talks about, I felt relieved, but when they were not, I was anxious and blindly relied on private education and pressured my children.

God, please hold on to my heart that is weakened by my thoughts and worldly standards at every moment.

Now, please give me the wisdom and eyes to discern, so that I can turn away from the distorted trend of education, that is, the greed for the myth of success, and seek God's will.
