(Isaiah 13:11~12 순금) I will punish the world for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a martal more rare than fine gold, A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir. 하나님은 세상의 교만한 자를 꺾으시고 주의 자녀를 귀하게 하는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 아모스의 아들 이사야가 바벨론에 대해 받은 경고라고 하며 민둥산 위에 기치를 세우고 그들을 존귀한 자의 문에 들어가게 하되 거룩하게 구별한 자들에게 명령하여 주의 노여움을 전하게 했다고 하고, 산에서 무리의 소리가 남은 만군의 여호와께서 싸움을 위해 군대를 검열하시기 때문이라고 했다. 또한 무리가 먼 나라에서 하늘 끝에서 왔다고 하고 그들은 애곡할 것이라 하고 하늘의 별들이 빛을 비추지 않으며 주께서 세상의 악과 악인의 죄를 벌하고 사람을 순금보다 희소하게 할 것이라고 했다. 정결하게 하시는 주를 찬양한다.
