외모지상주의로부터 자녀를 지켜주소서
 
하나님 아버지, 자녀가 자신의 가치를 누구보다 잘 아는 사람이 되기를 원합니다.
 
세상은 예쁘고, 몸매가 좋고, 명품을 가진 사람이 가치있고 잘 살 수 있다고 암묵적으로 가르치고 있습니다.
 
그런 가치관 속에서 우리의 자녀들은 자신은 가치가 없다고 생각하거나, 연예인처럼 되고 싶어 지나치게 자신을 가꾸려는 모습을 볼 때 참으로 마음이 아픈 것을 고백합니다.
 
자녀들에게 있는 하나님의 형상이 최고의 가치인 것을 알게 하옵소서.
 
그것을 위해 먼저 부모가 하나님의 형상의 가치를 알고 그것을 간직하기를 원합니다.
 
하나님이 자녀에게 선물하시고 심어두신 보석 같은 아름다움들을 발견하고, 그것을 인정하고 기뻐하며 사랑하게 하옵소서.
 
그리하여 자녀가 세상의 풍조를 따르기를 멈추고 하나님이 선물하신 자신만의 아름다움과 하나님의 형상을 기뻐하고, 사랑하며 사라갈 수 있기를 원합니다.
 
부모는 하나님이 지으신 최고의 창조물인 자녀를 그 모습 그대로 아끼고, 가꾸어주며 평생 하나님이 맡기신 보물로 섬기게 하시고, 자녀는 세상의 기준이 아닌 하나님의 기준으로 살아가게 하옵소서.
 
이런 부모와 자녀들을 통해 왜곡된 아름다움의 가치와 기준이 하나님의 기준으로 변화되게 하옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.

Please protect our children from lookism

Father God, I want my children to know their own worth better than anyone else.

The world implicitly teaches that those who are pretty, have good bodies, and have luxury goods are valuable and can live well.

When I see our children thinking that they are worthless or trying to groom themselves excessively to become celebrities in such values, I confess that it truly breaks my heart.

Please let them know that the image of God in their children is the greatest value.

To that end, I want parents to first know the value of the image of God and cherish it.

Please let them discover, acknowledge, rejoice, and love the jewel-like beauties that God has gifted and planted in their children.

So that children can stop following the trends of the world and rejoice, love, and grow in their own beauty and image of God that God has gifted them.

Please let parents cherish and nurture their children, who are the best creations of God, just as they are, and serve them as treasures entrusted to them by God for their entire lives, and let their children live by God’s standards, not the standards of the world.

Through these parents and children, may the distorted values and standards of beauty be changed to God's standards. I pray in the name of Jesus.
