기독학부모가 자기를 계발하는 훈련을 하게 하소서

하나님의 놀라운 계획과 사랑 가운데 우리를 불러주신 하나님, 우리의 형편과 상황을 보면 실망하지만 그럼에도 불구하고 여전히 우리의 삶을 기대하시는 아버지 하나님, 성실하게 주님이 주신 소명 잃지 않고 날마다 정진하는 삶을 살아가길 원합니다.

그러나 주님, 제 모습을 살펴보면 아쉬움이 큽니다.

자녀들에게는 소명을 강조하면서 하루 하루 충실히 살아라, 공부도 열심히 하여라, 독서 및 자기계발에 충실해라, 독려도 하고 이곳저곳 기웃거리며 정보도 얻고 가르치는데 정작, 부모인 ‘나’의 소명과 ‘나’의 자기계발에는 관심도 기울이지 못하고 하루 하루 의미 없이 보내는 모습을 발견합니다.

이제부터라도 ‘자녀’에게 쏟는 관심 못지않게 ‘나’의 삶을 규모 있게 가꾸며 주님 기뻐하시는 소명의 삶을 살아가기 위해 부지런히 자기계발을 하도록 인도하여 주옵소서.

그리하여 부모가 소명을 향한 걸음을 충실히 걷기 위해 자신을 돌아보고 성장해가며, 참된 행복을 만들어가는 그 모습이야말로 어린 자녀들에게 선한 영향을 끼치는 제일 좋은 본임을 깨닫게 하옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Let Christian parents train themselves to develop themselves

God, who called us in His amazing plan and love, Father God, who is disappointed when we see our circumstances and situations, but still expects our lives, I want to live a life of diligently striving every day without losing the calling that the Lord has given us.

However, Lord, when I look at myself, I feel regretful.

I emphasize my calling to my children and tell them to live faithfully every day, study hard, read and develop themselves, and encourage them, wander around here and there to get information and teach them, but I find myself spending each day meaninglessly without paying attention to my own calling and my own self-development as a parent.

From now on, please guide me to cultivate my own life on a large scale as much as I do my children, and to live a life of calling that pleases the Lord.

So, let us realize that the best example of a good influence on young children is when parents faithfully walk the path toward their calling, look back on themselves, grow, and create true happiness. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
