학교의 공공성을 회복시키소서
 
아브라함에게 주신 소명을 통해 모든 민족이 복받는 세상을 꿈꾸게 하시고, 하나님의 사람들을 세상의 빛과 소금으로 부르셔서 어둠을 몰아내고, 세상이 썩어지는 것을 막을 뿐만 아니라 생명의 맛을 내게 하심을 감사합니다.
 
이렇듯 온 세상을 향한 하나님의 사랑과 관심이 이 따으이 교육을 통해 잘 전수되고 성취되기를 원합니다.
 
하지만 안타깝게도 교육마저도 개인을 뛰어넘는 사랑과 책임 대신에 사람의 욕심을 채워주는 방향으로 흘러가고 있습니다.
 
지식을 습득할수록 이웃을 이롭게 하기보다 내 자신의 유익과 안위에 머무를 때가 많이 있습니다.
 
하나님, 개인 중심주의로 죽어 가는 교육을 바꾸어 주시고 이 땅의 교육에 하나님의 교육과 하나님 나라가 이루어져서 모든 사람들이 자기 자신과 이해 관계를 넘어 하나님 나라와 피조세계 전체를 사랑하고, 맡겨진 책임을 다하는 사람들로 자라게 하옵소서.
 
우리의 자녀들이 온 세상을 향하신 하나님의 뜻과 하나님 나라를 바르게 소망할 수 있도록 모든 형태의 학교와 교육에서 공공성과 공적인 교육이 회복되기를 원합니다.
 
이를 통해 하나님을 사랑하고 또 이웃을 사랑하는 자녀들이 길러지게 하옵소서.

Restore the public nature of schools.

Thank you for allowing us to dream of a world blessed by all nations through the calling you gave Abraham. You have called your people to be the light and salt of the world, dispelling darkness and preventing the world from decay, and giving us the taste of life.

I pray that God's love and concern for the entire world will be effectively conveyed and fulfilled through education.

Unfortunately, even education is increasingly focused on satisfying human greed, rather than on the love and responsibility that transcends the individual.

As we acquire knowledge, we often find ourselves focused on our own self-interest and comfort, rather than benefiting others.

God, please change the education system, which is dying due to self-centeredness. May your education and kingdom be realized in the education of this land, so that all people may transcend themselves and their own interests, love your kingdom and the entire creation, and grow into people who fulfill their responsibilities.

I pray that publicness and public education will be restored in all forms of schooling and education, so that our children can truly aspire to your will and kingdom for the entire world.

Through this, may we raise children who love God and their neighbors.
