악한 것을 생각하지 않는 부모 되게 하소서
 
하나님, 악한 것을 생각하는 저의 모습을 빛 가운데 드러내시며 그것이 단순히 우리 안에 올라오는 나쁜 생각을 하지 않으려는 것이 아니라, 누군가에게 적대심을 가지고 계산하여 상처를 주려는 모습이었음을 보게 하시니 감사합니다.
 
자신의 삶의 모든 우여곡절의 원인을 형들이라 생각하고 원망할 수 있었을 요셉이 켜켜이 상처들을 쌓아 적대심으로 가득한 삶을 살지 않고 용서와 포용으로 형들을 맞이했던 마음이 바로 하나님이 원하시는 악한 것을 생각지 않는 사랑임을 압니다.
 
하지만 우리는 아이가 내게 주는 상처로 인해 아이에게 날이 선 말을 하기도 하고, 아이의 잘못을 나열하며 다그치기도 했습니다.
 
우리 안에 가득한 악한 것들을 맞바꾸어 그리스도에게 속해 있는 모든 것들을 얻게 하신 은혜를 의지하오니 순수하게 자녀를 사랑하여 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 부모가 되게 하옵소서.
 
요셉이 악한 것을 생각하지 않을 뿐 아니라 오히려 형제들이 잘 되길 바라는 마음으로 선을 행하며, 생명을 구원하는 그 넓은 마음으로 확대 된 것과 같이 악을 선으로 바꾸는 증거가 삶 가운데 나타나게 하옵소서.

Please help me become a parent who does not think evil.

God, I thank You for revealing my evil thoughts to the light and helping me see that they were not simply a way to suppress the evil thoughts that arose within us, but rather a calculated attempt to hurt someone with hostility.

Joseph could have blamed his brothers for all the twists and turns in his life and resented them. However, instead of piling up layers of wounds and living a life filled with hostility, he welcomed them with forgiveness and acceptance. I know that this is the love that God desires, a love that does not think evil.

However, we sometimes speak harshly to our children or scold them by listing their mistakes because of the wounds they inflicted on us.

I rely on the grace that allows us to exchange the evil within us for all that belongs to Christ. Please help me become a parent who loves my children purely and pleases You.

Just as Joseph not only did not think evil, but instead did good deeds out of a desire for his brothers' well-being, and his generous heart expanded to save lives, may we see evidence of turning evil into good in our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
