(Amos 1:3~4 계약) "Thus says the LORD : "For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they have threshed Gilead with implements of iron. But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael Which shall devour the places of Berr Hadad.' 하나님은 주의 자녀의 대적을 멸하시고 주의 자녀를 구하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 웃시야의 시대, 이스라엘 요아스 왕 시대에 드고아 목자 아모스가 이스라엘에 대하여 이상으로 말씀을 받았는데 주께서 시온에서부터 부르짖고 예루살렘에서 소리를 내신다 하며 목전의 초장이 마를 것이라 하며, 다메섹의 서너가지 죄로 그들을 벌하신다 하시고 철타작기로 타작하듯 그들이 길르앗을 압박했기 때문이라 했다. 또한 가사의 서너가지 죄로 인해 그 벌을 돌이키지 않겠다 하시며 사로잡은 자를 그들이 에돔에 넘겼기 때문이라 했다. 두로 역시 형제의 계약을 기억하지 않음으로 벌하겠다 하셨다. 아멘
