심령이 가난한 부모가 되게 하소서
 
하나님 아버지, 자녀 양육에 있어 가난한 심령을 가진 부모가 되기를 간구합니다.
 
우리에게는 자녀를 지킬 힘이나, 특권이나, 영향력이 없습니다.
 
너무나 무능력한 존재여서 하나님만을 의지할 수밖에 없음을 고백합니다.
 
우리의 무력함 속에서 하나님만이 힘이 되심을 나타내시고, 자녀 양육에 있어서 세상적인 기준으로 볼 때는 패하는 길로 가는 것 같지만 승리에 이르는 길을 발견하게 하시며, 자녀에게 당면한 문제와 어려움 속에서도 세상이 빼앗아 갈 수 없는 평안과 참된 행복에 이르도록 인도하여 주옵소서.
 
가진 것이 아무 것도 없는것 같으나 하나님의 사랑에 대한 확신과 만족함 안에서 경건하며 주님을 닮은 인격을 소유한 사람이기를 원합니다.
 
가난하고 겸손하고 통회하는 마음으로 엎드리오니 우리의 노력이 아닌 하나님의 은혜를 통하여 하나님 나라 백성으로서의 부모됨을 감당하게 하옵소서.

May we be parents poor in spirit.

Heavenly Father, we pray that we may be parents poor in spirit in raising our children.

We lack the power, privilege, or influence to protect our children.

We confess that we are so powerless that we can only rely on You.

In our helplessness, show us that You alone are our strength. In raising our children, even when worldly standards seem to lead us down a path of defeat, may You help us find the path to victory. Guide our children to a peace and true happiness that the world cannot take away, even amidst the problems and difficulties they face.

Even though we may seem to have nothing, I pray that we may be godly and possess a character that resembles You, filled with the assurance and contentment of Your love.

With a poor, humble, and contrite heart, I bow down before You. Please grant that, not through our own efforts, but through Your grace, we may fulfill our responsibilities as parents of citizens of Your kingdom.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
