(Proverbs 6:22~23 인도) When you roam, they lead you; When you sleep, they will keep you; And when you awake, they will speak with you. For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 생명의 빛이 되시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '내 아들아 네가 만일 이웃을 위하여 담보하며 타인을 위하여 보증하였으면 네 입의 말로 네가 얽혔으며 네 입의 말로 인하여 잡히게 되었느니라'라고 하며 겸손히 그 이웃에게 간구하여 노루가 사냥군의 손에서 벗어나는 것 같이, 스스로 구원하라고 하였다. 또한 개미는 두령이 없지만 추수 때에 양식을 모으는 것을 보고 지혜를 얻으라고 하며 '좀더 자자, 좀더 졸자'라고 하면 곤핍이 군사같이 이를 것이라 했다. 또한, 여호와께서는 교만한 눈, 거짓된 혀, 무죄한 자의 피를 흘리는 손, 악한 계교를 꾀하는 마음, 빨리 악으로 달려가는 발, 거짓을 말하는 망령된 증인 및 형제 사이를 이간하는 자를 미워하신다고 하며 '내 아들아 네 아비의 명령을 지키며 네 어미의 법을 떠나지 말고 그것을 항상 네 마음에 새기며 네 목에 매라'고 하였다. 아멘

God is the light of life for His children. In today's text, it says, "My son, if you have pledged for your neighbor and have vouchsafed for a stranger, you have been snared by the words of your mouth, and have been caught by the words of your mouth." He tells us to humbly pray to our neighbors and save ourselves like a gazelle escapes from the hand of a hunter. He also tells us to be wise, seeing that ants have no leader but gather food at harvest time, and to say, "A little sleep, a little slumber," and that poverty will come upon us like an armed man. He also says that the Lord hates haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to run to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. He says, "My son, keep your father's commandment, and do not forsake the law of your mother; bind them always on your heart, bind them around your neck." Amen.
