(Proverbs 23:4~5 경외) Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. 하나님은 주의 자녀로 사사로운 지혜를 버리고 주 뜻대로 인도하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 관원과 함께 앉아 음식을 먹게 될 때에 삼가 앞에 있는 자가 누구인지 생각하고 음식을 탐하지 말고 목에 칼을 둘 것이라고 했다. 또한 부자되기에 애쓰지 말고 사사로운 지혜를 버리라고 하시며 '정녕히 재물은 스스로 날개를 내어 하늘을 나는 독수리처럼 날아가리라'하시며 악한 눈이 있는 자의 맛있는 음식을 탐하지 말라고 하였다. 또한, 옛 지계석을 옮기지 말고 고아들의 밭을 침범하지 말며, 훈계에 착심하며 지식의 말씀에 귀를 기울이라 하시고 마음으로 죄인의 형통을 부러워하지 말고 항상 여호와를 경외하라 했다. 아멘
