(Proverbs 22:20~21 명예) Have I not written to you excellent things Of counsels and knowledge, That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth, That you may answer words of truth To those who send to you? 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 말씀을 깨닫게 하시어 화답하게 하는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 많은 재물보다 명예를 택할 것이며 은이나 금보다 은총을 더욱 택할 것이라고 하며 가난한 자와 부한 자가 함께 살 것이라고 하며 이 모두를 지으신 이는 하나님이라 하시고 슬기로운 자는 재앙을 보면 숨어 피한다고 하고 겸손과 여호와를 경외함의 보상은 재물과 영광과 생명이라 했다. 또한 패역한 자의 길에는 가시와 올무가 있으나 영혼을 지키는 자는 이를 멀리한다고 하며 부자는 가난한 자를 주관하고 빚진 자는 채주의 종이 되며 마음의 정결을 사모하는 자의 입술에는 덕이 있으므로 임금이 친구가 된다 하였다. 아멘
