(Isaiah 7:14~15 징조) Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. 하나님은 주의 자녀를 위하여 징조를 베풀어 나타내시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 아하스왕 때에 아람, 이스라엘 왕이 올라와 치려 하였는데, 이 소식을 들은 아하스 왕의 마음이 숲이 바람에 흔들림같이 흔들렸고 여호와께서 이사야를 통해 아하스왕에게 아람과 이스라엘 왕은 연기나는 두 부지깽이와 같으니 낙심하지 말라고 하시며 그들의 일은 서지 못할 것이라고 말씀하셨다. 또한, 그에게 여호와 하나님께서 한 징조를 구하라 하시며 주께서 친히 징조를 베푸실 것인데 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그 이름을 임마누엘이라 할 것이며 그 아이가 악을 버리며 선을 행할 줄 알기 전 두 왕이 황폐케 될 것이라 했다. 아멘

God is the one who gives signs for His children. In today’s text, during the time of King Ahaz, the kings of Aram and Israel came up to attack him. When King Ahaz heard the news, his heart wavered like the trees of the forest shaken by the wind. The Lord told King Ahaz through Isaiah that the kings of Aram and Israel were like two smoking pots, so do not be discouraged and that their work will not stand. He also told him to ask for a sign from the Lord God and that the Lord Himself would give him a sign. The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and call him Immanuel. Before the boy knows how to reject evil and do good, both kings will be desolate. Amen.
