기본적인 양육을 성실히 감당하는 부모 되게 하소서(영아기 자녀를 둔 부모를 위한 기도)
 
하나님, 남편과 아내로만 존재하던 우리에게 자녀를 주셔서 가족을 이루게 하시니 감사합니다.
 
하나님의 은혜로 부모가 되고 이제 막 자녀를 양육하는 첫 걸음을 내딛은 이 길은 어렵고 고됨을 고백합니다.
 
혼자 제 삶을 책임지던 삶과는 달리 밤새워 우는 아이를 먹이고, 재우는 이 일이 가끔은 버거움을 고백합니다.
 
저를 보며 미소 짓는 아이를 보면 힘든 마음이 없어지다가도 가끔씩 찾아오는 버거움에, 제 삶을 잃은 것 같은 허무함에 눈물흘릴 때도 있습니다.
 
연습 없이 맞이하는 '부모'라는 이 길에 하나님이 함께 하여 주시길 원합니다.
 
우리의 시행착오를 겸손히 인정하고 넉넉히 하나님이 주신 자녀를 대하게 하옵소서.
 
주님, 하나님이 맡기신 양육의 사명을 우리 부부가 마음을 모아 잘 감당할 수 있도록 지혜와 힘을 주옵소서.
 
부모가 된 첫 마음을 간직하게 하시고, 양육을 위한 부부의 건강한 대화가 풍성하게 하옵소서.
 
무엇보다 성경대로 양육하는 기쁨을 누리게 하여 주옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Please make us parents who faithfully take care of basic parenting (Prayer for parents of infants)

God, thank you for giving us children, who used to be just a husband and wife, and forming a family.

I confess that this path of becoming parents by God’s grace and taking the first step toward raising a child is difficult and arduous.

Unlike my life where I was responsible for my own life alone, I confess that sometimes it is burdensome to feed and put to sleep a crying child all night long.

When I see a child smiling at me, my hard feelings disappear, but sometimes I feel burdened and shed tears at the emptiness of losing my life.

I ask God to be with me on this path of ‘parenting’ that I have taken on without practice.

Please humbly acknowledge our trial and error and generously treat the child that God has given us.

Lord, please give us wisdom and strength so that we can unite and fulfill the mission of parenting that God has entrusted to us.

Please help us keep our original heart as parents and enrich our healthy conversations for parenting.

Above all, please let us enjoy the joy of raising our children according to the Bible.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
