(Isaiah 38:18~19 눈물) For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth.The living, the living man, he shall praise You, As I do this day; The father shall make known Your truth to the children. 하나님은 주의 자녀를 죽은 자들 가운데서 살려주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되었는데 아모스의 아들 선지자 이가야가 히스기야에게 '죽고 살지 못하리라'하며 유언하라고 했다. 이에 히스기야 왕이 얼굴을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하며 '내가 주 앞에서 진실과 전심으로 행하며 주의 목전에서 선하게 행한 것을 기억하옵소서'하고 심히 통곡하였다. 주께서 이사야에게 주께서 히스기야 왕의 눈물을 보았기 때문에 그 수명에 십오년을 더하며 그 성을 보호할 것이라 하며 그 증거로 아하스의 해시계가 십도 물러가게 하리라 하시니 십도 물러갔다. 놀라운 주의 행사에 감사한다.
