어버이날에 드리는 기도
 
살아계신 아버지 하나님, 연약하고 부족한 저희를 부모로 세워주시니 감사합니다.
 
어버이날, 많은 사람들이 부모의 은혜를 생각하며 감사하고 있는데 부모된 저희가 먼저 주님 앞에서 아름다운 부모의 사명을 감당하도록 인도하여 주옵소서.
 
예수님의 사랑을 전하고, 신앙의 대를 이어가며, 자녀들에게 믿음의 본을 먼저 보이며 묵묵히 제자의 길을 걸어가게 하옵소서.
 
또한 자녀들에게 효를 말로 가르치기보다 먼저 우리의 연로하신 부모님들을 기억하고 사랑하는 삶을 통해 본을 보이게 하옵소서.
 
우리 부모님들에게 건강을 주시고 믿음의 거룩한 유산을 남기는 귀한 삶이 되게 하옵소서.
 
어버이날만이 아니라 평생을 살아가며 효도를 실천하게 하옵소서.
 
무엇보다 살아계신 아버지 하나님의 마음을 시원하게 하는 아들, 딸로 이 땅을 살아가게 하옵소서.
 
이 땅 어딘가에 소외되고 고통당하는 부모들의 눈물을 닦아 주시고 우리 가정과 사회가 더 훈훈하고 따뜻한 정이 깃든 터전이 되게 하옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Prayer for Parents’ Day

Living Father God, thank you for making us, who are weak and lacking, parents.

On Parents’ Day, many people think of the grace of their parents and give thanks, but please lead us, as parents, to fulfill the beautiful mission of parents before the Lord first.

Please spread the love of Jesus, pass on the faith, and set an example of faith for our children first, and quietly walk the path of disciples.

Also, rather than teaching filial piety to our children through words, please let us set an example by remembering our elderly parents and loving them through our lives.

Please give our parents health and let them live precious lives that leave behind a sacred legacy of faith.

Please let us practice filial piety not only on Parents’ Day, but throughout our lives.

Above all, please let us live on this earth as sons and daughters who refresh the heart of the living Father God.

Wipe away the tears of the parents who are neglected and suffering somewhere in this land, and make our families and society a warmer and more loving place.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
