(Jeremiah 7:6~7 땅) if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land I gave to your fathers forever and ever. 하나님은 주의 자녀를 주의 땅에 영원히 거하게 인도하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 말씀이 임하여 '여호와께 예배하러 이 문으로 들어가는 들어가는 유다 사람들아 여호와의 말씀을 들으라'하시며 그들의 길과 행위를 바르게 하면 그곳에서 살게 하며, 그들이 길과 행위를 바르게 하고 이웃들 사이에 정의를 행하고 무죄한 자의 피를 흘리지 않으면 그곳에서 영원히 살게 할 것이라 하였다. 그러나 그들이 다른 신을 따르고 주께서 부지런히 말씀하셨지만 그들이 듣지 아니함으로 그들을 쫓아낼 것이라 하셨다. 또한 그들이 여호와의 교훈을 받지 않았기 때문에 그 백성의 시체가 공중의 새와 땅의 짐승의 밥이 되며 땅이 황폐하리라 했다. 아멘
