(Jeremiah 28:7~8 멍에) Nevertheless hear now this word that I speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people: The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries and great kingdom-of war and disaster and pestilence. 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 생사화복의 모든 일을 알려주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 시드기야 사년에 선지자 하나냐가 주께서 바벨론 왕의 멍에를 꺾었다고 예언하며 여호와의 성전 기구를 이년 안에 예루살렘으로 될돌려 올 것이라고 하자 선지자 예레미야가 제사장과 백성 앞에서 주께서 성전의 기구와 모든 포로를 되돌려 오시기를 원하지만 자신과 이전의 선지자들은 많은 나라들에 대해 전쟁과 전염병을 예언하였지만 평화를 예언한 선지자는 말이 응한 후에야 하나님께서 보내신 선지자로 인정받을 것이라 했다. 이에 하나냐가 예레미야의 목에서 나무 멍에를 빼앗아 꺾자 예레미야가 쇠멍에를 메었다. 아멘.
