Jeremiah 34:12~13 언약

(Jeremiah 34:12~13 언약) Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: 'I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying, 하나님은 주의 언약을 통하여 주의 자녀에게 자유함을 주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바벨론 느부갓네살 왕과 그의 통치 하에 있는 땅의 모든 나라와 백성이 예루살렘과 그 모든 성읍을 칠 때에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 그 성을 바벨론 왕이 불사르게 할 것이라 하시고, 시드기야가 느부갓네살 왕의 손에 넘겨질 것이지만 그가 칼에 죽지는 않고 평안히 죽을 것이라 했다. 예레미야가 이 모든 말씀을 시드기야 왕에게 전하였고, 시드기야 왕이 예루살렘 모든 백성과 한가지로 계약을 맺고 유대인 종들을 놓아주었다가 다시 노비로 샀으니 주께서 그들을 벌하고 칼, 기근, 전염병을 자유케 하였다 했다. 아멘

God is the one who gives freedom to His children through His covenant. In today's text, when King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and all the nations and peoples of the earth under his rule were attacking Jerusalem and all its cities, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah that the king of Babylon would burn the city with fire and that Zedekiah would be handed over to King Nebuchadnezzar, but he would not die by the sword but would die in peace. Jeremiah told King Zedekiah all these words, and King Zedekiah made a covenant with all the people of Jerusalem and freed the Jewish slaves and then bought them as slaves again, so the Lord punished them and freed them by the sword, famine, and pestilence. Amen.
