오래 참는 부모 되게 하소서
 
오늘도 우리를 참으시고, 잃어버린 영혼을 기다리시는 하나님, 감사합니다.
 
지금까지도 나를 기다려주시는 은혜를 받은 자임에도 자녀를 양육하면서 아이의 생각과 속도를 기다려 주지 못하고 오래참지 못하며 나의 기준을 앞세웠음을 고백합니다.
 
자녀가 하나님의 사람으로 자라나도록, 올바른 길로 갈 수 있도록 안내하는 청지기로서 인내하지 못하는 저의 연약함을 용서하여 주옵소서.
 
예수님께서 죄의 길로 가는 우리를 쉽게 포기하지 않으시고 끝까지 기다리심 같이 자녀의 실수와 어리숙함에 아이를 단정 짓고, 쉽게 결정하고, 내 뜻에 맞게 양육방식을 정하지 않도록 도와주옵소서.
 
우리 안에 조급함과 불안, 실타래처럼 얽힌 감정들이 올라올 때마다 하나님께서 우리 안에 오래 참음의 옷을 입혀주셨음을 기억하며 아이가 하나님이 창조하신 고유한 색깔대로 자신의 삶을 향유하며 하나님 나라를 이룰 수 있도록 길게 인내하며 바라보는 부모가 되게 하옵소서.
 
그리하여 더욱 온전한 사랑으로 자녀를 양육하는 자리로 나아가게 하옵소서.

Help me to be a patient parent.

God, who is patient with us even today and waits for lost souls, I thank you.

Even now, I have received the grace to wait for me. While raising my children, I have been unable to wait for their thoughts and pace, and I have been impatient, prioritizing my own standards.

Please forgive my weakness, my lack of patience as a steward who guides my children to grow into God's people and walk the right path.

Just as Jesus does not easily give up on us who walk down the path of sin but waits until the very end, please help me not to judge my children based on their mistakes and naiveté, not to make hasty decisions, and not to dictate my own parenting style.

Whenever impatience, anxiety, and tangled emotions arise within us, remember that God has clothed us with patience. May we be parents who patiently watch over our children, so that they can enjoy their lives according to the unique colors He created them to be, and so that they can build His kingdom.

Thus, may we advance to a place where we raise our children with even more perfect love.
