(Habakkuk 1:13 정결) You are of purer eye, than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who  deal treacherously, And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A person more righteous than he? 하나님은 주의 자녀의 당하는 악을 차마 보지 못하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 선지자 하박국이 '여호와여 내가 부르짖어도 주께서 듣지 아니하시니 어느 때 까지리이까'하며 겁탈과 강포가 자기 앞에 있고 변론과 분쟁이 일어나니 이는 율법이 해이하고 정의가 실현되지 못하며 악인이 의인을 에워쌌기 때문이라 했다. 또한 주께서 한 일을 행하실 것인데 성급한 백성 갈대아 사람을 주께서 일으키셨고 그들은 당당하고 위엄있고 군마는 표범보다 빠르며 마병은 독수리의 날음과 같다 하며 그들은 자기 힘을 자기들의 신으로 삼는 자들이라 했다. 이에 하박국이 주께서는 눈이 정결하시며 악을 보지 못하신다 했다. 아멘

God is a God who cannot bear to see the evil that befalls His children. In today's text, the prophet Habakkuk cries, "How long, Lord, will I cry, and You will not listen?" Rape and violence come before him, arguments and strife break out, because the law is lax, justice is not done, and the wicked surround the righteous. He also says that the Lord will do something: He has raised up the Chaldeans, a rash people, majestic and magnificent, whose horses are swifter than leopards, whose horsemen fly like eagles, who make their own strength their god. Habakkuk responds, "The Lord's eyes are purer than yours; He cannot see evil." Amen.
