(Zephaniah 3:20 명성) At that time I will bring you back, Even at the time I gather you; For I will give you fame and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I return your captives before your eyes,” Says the Lord. 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 명성과 칭찬을 얻게 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '패역하고 더러운 곳, 포악한 그 성읍이 화있을진저'라고 하며 그가 여호와를 의뢰하지 아니하며 자기 하나님께 가까이 나아가지 아니하였다고 하고 그 가운데 방백들은 부르짖는 사자이며, 선지자는 경솔하고 제사장들은 성소를 더럽히고 율법을 범하였다 했다. 또한, 그 가운데 계시는 여호와는 의로우사 불의를 행치 아니하시나 불의한 자는 수치를 알지 못한다고 하며 주께서 여러나라를 끊어버리셨다 하며, 주께서 여러 백성의 얼굴을 깨끗하게 하고 다 여호와의 이름을 부르며 섬기게 하겠다고 하시며 주께서 곤고하고 가난한 백성을 남겨두며, 시온의 딸은 노래할지어다 했다. 또한 주께서 잠잠히 사랑하신다 했다. 아멘

God is the One who grants fame and praise to His children. Today's text says, "Woe to that rebellious and filthy city, the cruel city!" She did not trust in the Lord or draw near to her God. Her officials were like roaring lions, her prophets were rash, her priests defiled the sanctuary and violated the law. Furthermore, the Lord, who dwells in her midst, is righteous; he does no injustice, yet the unrighteous know no shame. He declares, "The Lord has cut off the nations," and "He will cleanse the faces of the peoples, so that all may call on the name of the Lord and serve him." He also declares, "The Lord will spare the afflicted and needy, and let the daughter of Zion sing." He also declares, "The Lord is quiet in his love." Amen.
