(Matthew 2:5~6 경배) So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:‘But  you, Bethlehem,  in  the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ” 하나님은 주의 자녀를 위하여 다스리는 자를 보내시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 헤롯왕 때에 예수께서 유대 베들레헴에서 나셨는데 동방으로부터 박사들이 예루살렘에 이르러 유대인의 왕으로 나신 이가 어디 계시냐 하며 경배하러 왔다고 하셨다. 헤롯왕과 온 예루살렘이 듣고 소동하며 헤롯이 대제사장과 서기관을 통해 그리스도가 유대 베들레헴에서 태어난 줄 알고 동방박사에게 별이 나타난 때를 물으며 자신도 가서 경배할 것이라 했다. 박사들이 갈때 별이 아기있는 곳 위에 머물러 서매 그들이 크게 기뻐하고 기뻐하였다. 아기 예수께 황금, 유향, 몰약을 드렸고 천사의 지시로 다른 길로 돌아갔다. 아멘

God is the One who sends rulers for His children. In today's text, it says that during the time of King Herod, Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea. Magi from the East arrived in Jerusalem to worship Him, asking, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?" King Herod was disturbed when he heard this, and all Jerusalem was troubled. Herod, having learned from the chief priests and scribes that the Christ had been born in Bethlehem of Judea, asked the Magi when the star had appeared, so that he too could go and worship Him. As the Magi went, the star stopped over where the child was, and they rejoiced with great joy. They presented gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the baby Jesus, and then, directed by an angel, they returned by another route. Amen.
