(Matthew 11:11~12 천국) "Assuredly, I say to you among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 하나님은 천국을 침노하는 주의 자녀에게 천국을 선물로 주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 예수께서 열두 제자에게 명하기를 마치시고 여러 동네에서 가르치시며 전도하려고 떠나가셨는데 요한이 옥에서 제자들을 보내어 '오실 그이가 당신이오니이까'하고 이에 예수께서 맹인이 보며 못걷는 사람이 걸고 나병환자가 깨끗함을 받으며 죽은자가 살아나며 가난한 자에게 복음이 전파된다고 하셨다. 또한 예수께서 무리에게 그들이 무엇을 보려고 광야로 나갔느냐고 하시며 '선지자를 보기 위함이었더냐 옳다'하시고 여자가 낳은 자 중에 세례요한보다 큰 이가 일어남이 없다 하시고 천국에서는 지극히 작은 자라도 그 보다 크다 했다. 아멘

God is the One who gives heaven as a gift to His children who encroach upon it. In today's passage, after Jesus had finished instructing the twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in their towns. John sent his disciples from prison to ask, "Are you the one who is to come?" Jesus answered, "The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor." Jesus also asked the crowds, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see?" He replied, "A prophet? Yes." He added, "Among those born of women, no one has risen greater than John the Baptist. Even the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Amen.
