부모 안의 성공 중심 교육관이 변화되게 하소서
 
우리의 삶을 늘 책임져 주시는 하나님 감사합니다.
 
하나님께서 자녀와 나를 다르게 창조하시고, 각자에게 알맞은 부르심을 주셨음에도 불구하고 때로는 자녀의 삶에 나의 욕심을 투영할 때가 많았음을 고백합니다.
 
특히 개인의 성공이 가족 공동체의 성공처럼 비춰질 때가 많은 사회 속에 살면서 저 또한 아이의 삶을 우리 가족의 성공으로 투영할 때가 많았습니다.
 
자녀가 다른 아이들보다 성적이 떨어지면 부끄러워 하기도 했고, 더잘하면 세상을 다 얻은 것처럼 자랑스러워하는 모습이 우리에게 있었음을 솔직히 고백합니다.
 
자녀와 다른아이들을 비교하는 것을 통해 대리만족을 얻으려 했던 우리의 모습을 용서하여 주옵소서.
 
세상에서의 자녀의 성공과 입신양명을 부모 존재의 성공으로 연결짓지 않게 하옵소서.
 
이제는 하나님 안에서의 형통함을 구하며, 자녀의 삶의 위치가 어떠하든지 하나님을 섬기고 세상을 섬기며 영향력을 끼치는 사람이 되는 것을 꿈꾸고 기도하는 기독학부모가 되게 하옵소서.
 
더 나아가 삶을 변화시키는 기독학부모로서 하나님의 교육 문화와 풍토가 뿌리내리게 하옵소서.

May the success-centered educational perspective within parents be transformed.

Thank you, God, for always taking responsibility for our lives.

Although God created us and our children differently and gave us each a unique calling, I confess that I have often projected my own desires onto my children's lives.

Living in a society where individual success often mirrors the success of the family community, I, too, have often projected my child's life onto our family's success.

I honestly confess that we have felt shame when our children underperformed others, and proud when they did better, as if we had conquered the world.

Forgive us for seeking vicarious satisfaction by comparing our children to others.

Please do not link our children's worldly success and fame to our own success as parents.

Now, may we seek prosperity in God, and may we become Christian parents who dream and pray for our children to serve God, the world, and make an impact, regardless of their position in life.

Furthermore, as Christian parents who transform lives, may God's educational culture and culture take root.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
