'기독' '학부모'(분리형)임을 돌이키게 하소서
 
메마른 뼈도 살 수 있겠다 말씀하시고 생기를 불어 넣어 주신 하나님, 믿음의 길을 걷고자 하나 날마다 헤메는 우리에게 말씀으로 용기와 새힘을 주시니 참 감사합니다.
 
기독학부모의 길을 가겠다고 결단을 하고 매일 힘차게 살아가고자 다짐하지만 죄된 습성에 매인 삶을 한 번에 변화시킬 수 없어 실망할 때가 참 많습니다.
 
우리의 욕심을 버리고 하나님의 뜻으로 자녀를 양육하고자 하지만, 우리는 종종 자녀에게 신앙도, 학업도 모두 완벽할 것을 요구하면서 자녀를 힘들게 하였습니다.
 
학업에 있어 탁월성을 드러내는 것이 하나님께 영광 돌리는 것이라 편협하게 생각하고 아이의 은사와 부르심을 신앙과 연결하지 못하였습니다.
 
신앙 안에서 학업의 길을 잘 펼칠 수 있도록 돕는 '기독학부모'가 되기를 소원합니다.
 
이제 자녀가 모든 것을 완벽하게 잘하면 좋겠다는 욕심에 사로잡힌 바람을 하나님 앞에 내려놓습니다.
 
이 아이가 평생 하나님을 떠나지 않으며 하나님의 계획안에서 행복하게 살도록 돕는 진정한 기독학부모가 되도록 우리를 인도하옵소서.

Please help us to repent of our separate roles as "Christians" and "parents" (separate).

God, you breathed life into our dry bones, saying even they can live. Thank you for giving us courage and renewed strength through your Word as we wander each day, striving to walk the path of faith.

We resolve to become Christian parents and resolve to live each day with strength, but we often feel disappointed when we cannot immediately change our lives, bound by sinful habits.

We strive to let go of our greed and raise our children according to God's will, but we often make things difficult for our children by demanding perfection in both faith and academics.

We narrowly assume that academic excellence is what brings glory to God, failing to connect our children's gifts and calling to their faith.

I pray that we can become "Christian parents" who help our children successfully pursue their academic paths in faith.

Now, I surrender to God the desire for my children to excel in everything.

Guide us to become true Christian parents who help this child live happily within God's plan, never leaving God.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
