민족 고유의 명절, 설날에 드리는 기도

함께 모여 기억하기를 원하시는 하나님, 우리나라의 큰 명절의 날 온 가족이 함께 모여 예배합니다.

새로운 한 해를 시작하며 지금까지 지내온 은혜를 기억하고, 한 해 동안 베풀어주실 은혜를 기대하는 시간이 되게 하옵소서.

특별히 한 곳에 모이기 위해 먼 길을 오고 가는 가족들 가운데 평안이 있게 하시고, 부모님을 공경하고 자녀를 사랑하는 가정의 문화가 대대손손 이어지게 하옵소서.

무엇보다 명절에 함께 모여 가정과 가문의 주인이 하나님이심을 고백하는 시간을 갖게 하옵소서.

나의 신앙의 뿌리가 어디서부터 시작되는지 깨달아 알고 감사하는 시간을 갖게 하옵소서.

또한 모두가 모여 기뻐하는 명절에 홀로 있거나 외로운 이 땅의 지체들을 기억하여 주시고, 그 가정에 하나님의 사랑과 은혜가 흘러가도록 이웃을 기억하고 섬기는 명절이 되게 하옵소서.

예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A Prayer for Seollal, Our National Holiday

God, who desires to gather together and remember, on this great holiday in our country, our whole family gathers together to worship.

As we begin this new year, may it be a time to remember the grace we have received so far and to anticipate the grace you will bestow upon us throughout the year.

May peace be with families who travel long distances to gather together, and may the family culture of respecting parents and loving children be passed down through generations.

Above all, may we gather together on this holiday to confess that You are the Lord of our families and households.

May we realize where our faith begins and have a time of gratitude.

Also, during this holiday season, when everyone gathers together and rejoices, remember those in this land who are alone or lonely. May this holiday be a time of remembering and serving our neighbors, so that Your love and grace may flow into their families.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
