6월 첫날의 기도
 
생명의 근원 되시며 나라의 기초가 되시는 하나님, 새 생명의 운치가 날로 더해가는 6월, 플라타너스 너머로 보이는 푸른 하늘과 맑은 구름이 마음을 시원하게 합니다.
 
주님이 온 세상의 주인으로서 조성하여 주신 이 땅이 참으로 귀하게 여겨지는 이때에 우리나라를 생각하며 주님께 기도합니다.
 
하나님, 우리나라 역사 굽이 굽이마다 어렵지 않은 시대가 없었습니다.
 
외세의 침략과 정치적 위기, 경제의 어려움과 국민 화합의 위기 등 환난 속에서도 특유의 지혜와 민족성으로 세계 속에서 당당하게 '대한민국'으로 서가게 하시니 감사합니다.
 
이 모든 것이 주님의 은혜임을 고백하며, 믿음의 사람으로서 국가에 대한 책무성으로 더욱 기도하게 됩니다.
 
하나님, 북한과 대치되어 있는 이 안타까운 현실 가운데서 마음과 분열의 터전에 화해와 평화가 싹트고 열매맺게 하시고 분단국가의 설움이 다음세대에 이어지지 않도록 도와주옵소서.
 
북한과 우리나라의 교육 현실이 너무나도 많은 차이가 있어 통일 이후의 교육에도 어려움이 예상되지만 하나님의 화목케 하는 은혜로 인해 회복되게 하옵소서.
 
교육을 통하여 먼저 통일을 준비하며 하나 됨의 기쁨을 맛보게 하옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Prayer on the First Day of June

God, the source of life and the foundation of the nation, in this June where the charm of new life grows stronger day by day, the blue sky and clear clouds visible beyond the plane trees refresh my heart.

At this time, when this land, which You established as the Lord of the whole world, is truly cherished, I think of our country and pray to You, Lord.

God, there has never been a time without hardship at every turn of our nation's history.

Thank You for enabling us to stand proudly as 'Republic of Korea' in the world through our unique wisdom and national character, even amidst tribulations such as foreign invasions, political crises, economic hardships, and crises of national unity.

Confessing that all of this is Your grace, I pray even more with a sense of responsibility toward the nation as a person of faith.

God, amidst this regrettable reality of confrontation with North Korea, please let reconciliation and peace sprout and bear fruit in the midst of division in our hearts, and help ensure that the sorrow of a divided nation is not passed down to the next generation.

**Prayer for the First Day of June** Although the vast differences in educational realities between North Korea and our country foresee difficulties in education following reunification, may it be restored through God’s reconciling grace.

May we prepare for reunification first through education and taste the joy of becoming one.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
