하나님의 창조 세계와 함께 공존하게 하소서
 
하늘과 땅을 만드시고, 피조세계의 주인 되신 하나님, 하나님께서 우리를 청지기로 세우시고, 하나님의 뜻대로 돌보라 하셨음에도 불구하고, 우리의 욕심에 미혹되어 피조세계의 주인이 되었을 때가 많았음을 고백합니다.
 
이제 우리가 가던 길을 돌이켜 회개함으로 피조세계 가운데 하나님의 돌봄과 사랑이 임하기를 원합니다.
 
가정에서 뿐 아니라 사회에서 탄소 배출을 줄이고, 이 땅을 돌보는 일에 힘쓰게 하옵소서.
 
특별히 학교의 교육 과정 안에서 지속가능한 삶을 같이 고민하고, 실천할 수 있는 교육이 만들어지게 하옵소서.
 
그리하여 자녀가 발을 딛고 살 그 시대에 푸른 하늘을 보고 맑은 공기를 마시며, 자녀뿐 아니라 모든 생태 속에 하나님의 샬롬이 임하게 하옵소서.
 
주님, 우리에게 믿음을 실천할 수 있는 용기, 불편을 감수할 수 있는 용기가 필요합니다.
 
단지 머리로만 기후 위기를 걱정하고, 말로만 떠드는 것이 아니라 기독학부모인 우리가 먼저 한 걸음 불편을 기꺼이 선택하며, 자녀의 삶 속에도 영향력을 미치게 하옵소서.

May we coexist with God’s created world.

God, who made the heavens and the earth and is the Lord of the created world, we confess that although You appointed us as stewards and commanded us to care for it according to Your will, we have often been deceived by our own greed and have become the masters of the created world.

Now, we desire to turn back from the path we have been taking and, through repentance, allow Your care and love to dwell within the created world.

May we strive to reduce carbon emissions and care for this land, not only in our homes but also in society.

In particular, may education be established within the school curriculum that allows us to contemplate and practice a sustainable life together.

Thus, may the era in which our children will live see the blue sky and breathe the fresh air, and may God’s Shalom dwell not only with our children but with the entire ecosystem.

Lord, we need the courage to put our faith into practice and the courage to endure inconvenience.

May we, as Christian parents, not merely worry about the climate crisis with our heads or talk about it, but willingly take the first step toward inconvenience and exert influence on the lives of our children.
