(1Corinthians 3:7~8 상) So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the incense. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 상을 베푸시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바울은 고린도 성도들에게 '그리스도 안에서 어린아이를 대함과 같이 하노라'하며 그들이 아직도 육신에 속한 자임은 그들 가운데 분쟁이 있기 때문이라 하시고, 아볼로는 무엇이고 바울은 무엇이냐 하시며, 자기는 심었고 아볼로는 물을 주었으되 하나님께서 자라게 하셨으므로 심는 이나 물주는 이가 한가지이니 각각 자기가 일한대로 상을 받을 것이라 했다. 또한 바울은 하나님의 은혜를 따라 지혜로운 건축자와 같이 터를 닦아 둔다고 하며 이 터는 예수 그리스도라 하시고 누구든지 그 위에 세운 공적이 있으면 그대로 상을 받고 불타면 해를 받을 것이라 하며 우리가 하나님의 성전이라 했다. 아멘

God is the One who bestows rewards upon His children. In today's passage, Paul tells the Corinthian saints, "I treat you as children in Christ," noting that they are still carnal because there are divisions among them. He asks, "What is Apollos and what is Paul?" He explains that he planted and Apollos watered, but God made it grow; therefore, the one who plants and the one who waters are one, and each will receive a reward according to his work. Furthermore, Paul states that, by God's grace, he lays the foundation like a wise builder, calling this foundation Jesus Christ. He adds that anyone who has built upon it will receive a reward, and anyone who is burned up will suffer loss, declaring that we are the temple of God. Amen.
