(1Corinthians 16:12~14 강건) Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brethren, but he was quite unwilling to come at this time; however, he will come when he has a convenient time. Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. 하나님은 주의 자녀로 강건하여 사랑을 실천케 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바울은 고린도 성도들에게 성도를 위한 연보는 갈라디아 교회에 명한 것 같이 하고 바울이 이를 때 그들이 인정한 사람에게 편지를 주어 그들의 은혜를 예루살렘에 가지고 갈 것이라 했다. 또한 바울이 마게도냐를 지나 그들에게 가서 겨울을 지낼듯 하다고 하며 바울이 오순절까지 에베소에 머물려는 것은 바울에게 광대하고 유효한 문이 열렸지만 대적하는 자가 많기 때문이라고 하고 디모데가 이를 때에 두려움없이 그들 가운데 있게 하라 하며 아볼로에게는 그들에게 가라했으나 지금 갈 뜻이 없다하고 깨어 믿음에 굳게 서서 남자답게 강건하고 사랑으로 행하라 했다. 아멘

God is the One who strengthens His children and enables them to practice love. In today's passage, Paul tells the Corinthian saints that the collection for the saints should be given in the same manner as he instructed the Galatian church, and that when he arrives, he will give a letter to a person they approve, carrying their grace to Jerusalem. He also mentions that he will pass through Macedonia to visit them and likely spend the winter there, stating that his intention to remain in Ephesus until Pentecost is because, although a vast and effective door has been opened for him, there are many adversaries. He tells them to let Timothy be among them without fear when he arrives, and although he told Apollos to go to them, Apollos said he has no intention of going now. He urges them to be awake, stand firm in the faith, be courageous and strong, and act with love. Amen.
