(2Corinthians 2:15~16 향기) For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 하나님은 주의 자녀를 통하여 예수 그리스도의 향기를 나타내는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바울이 고린도 성도들에게 다시는 그들에게 근심중 나아가지 아니하기로 스스로 결심하였다고 하며 이같이 그들에게 그들에게 쓰는 것은 바울이 갈 때에 마땅히 자신을 기쁘게 할 자로부터 도리어 근심을 얻을까 염려하기 때문이라고 하고 바울 마음에 큰 근심과 눌린이 있어 많은 눈물로 서신을 썼다고 했다. 또한 바울은 차라리 자신을 용서하라 하며 그들에게 권하는 것은 '사랑을 그들에게 나타내라'는 것이며, 바울이 복음을 위해 드로아에 이를 때 주 안에 문이 열렸는데 디도를 만나지 못해 심령이 편하지 못하여 마게도냐로 갔다고 하고 우리로 그리스도의 향기를 나타내심에 감사했다. 아멘

God is the One who manifests the fragrance of Jesus Christ through His children. In today's passage, Paul states that he has resolved to the Corinthian saints no longer to approach them in sorrow. He explains that he writes to them in this manner because he fears that when he goes, he might instead receive sorrow from the very person who ought to please him. He also mentions that he wrote the letter with many tears, filled with great sorrow and oppression in his heart. Furthermore, Paul asks them to forgive him rather than accept him, urging them to "show love to them." He mentions that when he arrived in Troas for the sake of the gospel, a door was opened in the Lord, but because he could not meet Titus, his spirit was uneasy, so he went to Macedonia. He gives thanks that He enables us to manifest the fragrance of Christ. Amen.
