역대하 11 ~ 16장

(11:16)And after the Levites left, those from all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heart to seek the Lord God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers. 

11장에서는 르호보암이 예루살렘에 이르러 유다와 베냐민 족속 십팔만명을 모았다. 여호와의 말씀이 하나님의 사람 스마야에게 임하여 그들이 이스라엘과 싸우려 올라가지 말라고 하며 이 일이 하나님께로부터 난 것이라고 하였다. 르호보암이 예루살렘에 살면서 유다땅에 방비하는 성읍 베들레헴, 에담, 드고아, 벧술, 소고, 아둘람, 가드, 마레사, 십, 아도라임, 라기스, 아세가, 소라, 아얄론, 헤브론을 건축하였다.  르호보암이 그 방비하는 성읍들을 더욱 견고하게 하고 양식과 기름과 포도주를   저축하였다. 온 이스라엘의 제사장과 레위 사람들이 르호보암에게 돌아오매 이는 여로보암이 그 직위를 폐하였기 때문이다.


(12:7)Now when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, "They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance. My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

12장에서는 르호보암의 나라가 견고하고 세력이 강해지매 여호와의 율법을 버리니 온 이스라엘이 본받았다. 르호보암 왕 제 오년에 애굽 왕 시삭이 예루살렘을 치러 올라오니 병거가 천이백대요 마병이 육만명이었다. 시삭이 유다의 견고한 성읍을 빼앗고 예루살렘에 이르렀는데 유다 방백들이 시삭의 일로 예루살렘에 모였으며 르호보암에게 선지자 스마야가 나아가 여호와께서 그들의 율법을 버렸으니 주께서도 그들을 버리셨다고 하매 이스라엘 방백들과 왕이 스스로 겸비하여 여호와는 의로우시다 하고 여호와께서는 그들의 겸비함을 보시고 그들을 조금 구원하여 주의 노를 시삭을 통해 예루살렘에 쏟지는 않으셨다.

(13:11)And they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense; they also set the showbread in order on the pure gold table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps to burn every evening; for we keep the command of the Lord our God, but you have forsaken Him.

13장에서는 아비야가 유다의 왕이 되고 예루살렘에서 삼년 동안 다스렸으며 그의 어머니의 이름은 미가야였다. 아비야가 용감한 군사 사십명을 택해 싸움을 준비하였고 여로보암은 큰 용사 팔십만명을 택하였는데 아비야가 스마라임 산 위에 서서 이스라엘 하나님이 소금 언약으로 이스라엘 나라를 다윗과 그 자손에게 주셨으나 여로보암이 자신을 따르는 난봉꾼과 잡배와 함께 르호보암을 대적하고 또한 여호와의 제사장을 쫓아내고 이방백성의 풍속을 따랐으나 아비야는 여호와께서 하나님  되시기 때문에 그를 배반하지 않고 섬겼다고 하였다. 유다 사람이 소리지를 때   하나님이 여로보암과 이스라엘을 치시매 오십만이 죽었다.

(14:13)And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them to Gerar. So the Ethiopians were ovethrown, and they could not recover, for they were broken before the LORD and His army. And they carried away very much spoil.
14장에서는 아비야가 조상들과 함께 눕고 그의 아들 아사가 대신하여 왕이 되어 그 땅이 십년동안 평안하였다. 아사가 그의 하나님 보시기에 선과 정의를 행하고 이방 산당과 주상을 없애고 유다 사람들에게 여호와 하나님을 찾게 하고 산당과 태양상을 없애매 나라가 그 앞에서 평안하였다. 아사가 유다 사람들에게 그들이 하나님 여호와를 찾았으므로 그들의 땅이 아직 그들 앞에 있으나 성읍을 건축하고 성곽과 망대와 문과 빗장을 만들고자 하여 그들이 성읍을 형통하게 건축하였다. 구스 사람 세라가 그들을 치려고 군사 백만명과 병거 삼백대를 거느리고 마레사에 이르매   아사가 마주 나가매 여호와께서 치시니 구스 사람이 그랄까지 이르러 엎드러졌다.


(15:15)And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their soul; and He was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around. 

15장에서는 하나님의 영이 오셋의 아들 아사랴에게 임하여 아사를 맞아 그가 여호와와 함께 하시면 여호와께서도 그들과 함께 하실 것이라고 하고 그에게 강하게 하라고 하시고 그의 행위에 상급이 있을 것이라고 하셨다. 아사가 이 말을 듣고 마음을 강하게 하고 가증한 물건을 없애고 여호와의 낭실 앞에 제단을 건축하매 유다와 베냐민 무리와 에브라임과 므낫세와 시므온에서 나온 자들이 아사에게 돌아갔다.


(16:9)For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars."

16장에서는 아사왕 제 삼십육년에 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 왕래를 막았는데 아사가 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간에서 은금을 내어다가 다메섹에 사는 아람 왕 벤하닷에게 보냈다. 이에 벤하닷이 군대 지휘관들을 보내어   이스라엘 성읍들을 치매 바아사가 라마 건축하는 일을 포기하고 공사를 그치매   아사왕이 온 유다 무리를 거느리고 와서 라마를 건축하던 재목을 운반하여 게바와 미스바를 건축하였다. 이에 선견자 하나니가 아사에게 와서 그가 아람왕을 의지  하므로 아람왕의 군대가 왕의 손에서 벗어났다고 하였다.

2 Chronicles 11-16

(11:16) And after the Levites left, those from all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heart to seek the Lord God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.

In chapter 11, Rehoboam came to Jerusalem and gathered one hundred and eighty thousand people of Judah and Benjamin. The word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, the man of God, and told them not to go up to fight Israel, and that this was from God. When Rehoboam lived in Jerusalem, he built Bethlehem, Edam, Degoa, Bethsul, Sogo, Adullam, Gad, Maresah, Sib, Adoraim, Lachish, Acega, Zorah, Ayalon, and Hebron, the cities that defended the land of Judah. Rehoboam strengthened its defense cities and saved food, oil, and wine. The priests and Levites of all Israel returned to Rehoboam, because Jeroboam abolished his post.

(12:7) Now when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, "They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance. My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

In chapter 12, Rehoboam's kingdom became strong and powerful, and he abandoned the law of the Lord, and all Israel imitated it. In the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, with 1,200 chariots and 60,000 horsemen. Shishak took the fortified city of Judah and came to Jerusalem, and the princes of Judah gathered in Jerusalem for Shishak's work, and Shemaiah the prophet went to Rehoboam and told Rehoboam that the Lord had forsaken their law, and the Lord had forsaken them.The princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves. The Lord is righteous, and the Lord saw their humility and saved them a little, and did not pour out the Lord's anger on Jerusalem through Shishak.

In chapter 13, Abijah became king of Judah and reigned in Jerusalem for three years, and his mother's name was Micaiah. Abijah chose forty brave soldiers to prepare for battle.Jeroboam chose 800,000 great warriors.Abijah stood on Mount Shemaraim, and the God of Israel gave the kingdom of Israel to David and his descendants by the covenant of salt. He opposes Rehoboam with the follower and mischief, and also drives out the priest of the Lord and follows the customs of the Gentiles, but Abijah said that because the Lord is God, he served him without betraying him. When the people of Judah shouted, God struck Jeroboam and Israel, and fifty thousand died.

(14:13) And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them to Gerar. So the Ethiopians were ovethrown, and they could not recover, for they were broken before the LORD and His army his. And they carried away very much spoil.
In chapter 14, Abijah lie down with his ancestors, and his son Asa replaced him as king, and the land was peaceful for ten years. Asa did good and righteousness in the sight of his God, destroyed the high places and columns, and made the people of Judah look for the Lord God, and destroyed the high places and the sun image, and the nation was at peace in front of him. Asa told the people of Judah that they sought the LORD God, and their land was still in front of them, but they built a city to build a wall, a tower, a gate, and a bar, so they built the city in a prosperous way. Sera the Cushite came to Maresa with a million soldiers and three hundred chariots to attack them, and Asa went out to face them, and the Lord struck him, and the Cushite fell to Gerar.

(15:15) And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart his and sought Him with all their soul; and He was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around.

In chapter 15, the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Osset and said that if he was with the Lord, the Lord would be with them. He told him to be strong, and there would be a reward for his actions. When Asa heard this, he strengthened his heart, took away the detestable things, and built an altar in front of the house of the Lord, and the people from Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon returned to Asa.

(16:9) For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars."

In chapter 16, Baasha came up against Judah in the thirty-sixth year of King Asa and built Ramah to block traffic. So Ben-hadad sent army commanders against the cities of Israel, and Baasha gave up the work of building Ramah, and the work was stopped, and King Asa came with all of Judah and carried the timber that had been building Ramah to build Geba and Mizba. So Hanani, the seer, came to Asa and said that because he relied on the king of Aram, the king's army was out of the king's hand.
