에스더 6장 ~ 욥기 1장

(6:10)Then the king said to Haman, "Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who sits within the king's gate! Leave nothing undone of all that you have spoken."

6장에서는 아하수에로 왕이 사람을 시켜 역대일기를 읽히다가 내시 빅다나와 데레스가 왕을 암살하려는 음모를 모르드개가 고발했음을 알고 모르드개에게 존귀나  관작이 이 일로 주어지지 않았음을 알게 되었다. 마침 하만이 자기가 세운 나무에 모르드개를 달기 위해 왕께 구하려고 왔으나 왕이 그에게 왕이 존귀케 하기 원하는 자에게 어떻게 해 줄 것인지 왕이 묻자 그 사람에게 왕복을 입히고 왕의 말에 태우고 왕관을 씌우고 왕이 존귀히 여기는 사람을 시켜서 그를 성 중 거리로 다니게  하고 왕이 존귀하게 하기를 원하는 사람에게 이같이 할 것이라 하게 할 것이라고 하매, 왕이 모르드개에게 그대로 하라고 하여 하만이 그대로 하였다.

(7:3)Then Queen Esther answered and said, "If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

7장에서는 왕이 하만과 함께 왕후 에스더의 잔치에 갔는데 왕이 둘째날 잔치에서 술을 마실 때 왕이 에스더에게 소청이 무엇인지 묻자 에스더가 왕에게 자기의 생명과 자기 민족의 생명을 자신에게 주기를 구하였다. 이에 아하수에로 왕이 왕후   에스더에게 이 일을 심중에 품은 자가 누구냐고 묻자 대적과 원수는 악한 하만이라고 하였다. 이에 왕이 일어나 잔치 자리를 떠나 왕궁 후원으로 들어가고 하만이  에스더의 걸상 위에 엎드려 자기 생명을 구하매 왕이 후원으로부터 잔치 자리에  돌아와 이것을 보고 왕후를 강간까지 하려느냐고 하만에게 말하니 그 신하들이   하만의 얼굴을 싸고 나무에 달았다.

(8:8)You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's signet ring; for whatever is written in the king's name and sealed with the king's signet ring no one can revoke."

8장에서는 아하수에로 왕이 원수 하만의 집을 왕후 에스더에게 주고 모르드개를 불러 하만에게서 빼낸 왕의 반지를 그에게 주며 에스더는 모르드개에게 하만의 집을 관리하게 하였다. 에스더가 왕에게 아각인 하만의 계략을 철회하여 줄 것을 눈물로 구하자 왕이 금홀을 내밀어 에스더를 일으키고 또한 에스더와 모르드개에게 그들이 좋은 대로 칙서를 써서 왕의 반지로 인을 치라고 하였다. 이에 왕의 서기관들이  소집되고 그 칙서가 모르드개가 명한 모든 것을 따라 인도로부터 에디오피아에   이르기까지 일백이십칠개 지방의 유대인들, 대신들, 고관들에게 그들의 언어로 기록되어 전달되었다. 주의 역사하시고 일하시는 능력과 은혜에 감사드린다.

(9:13)Then Esther said, "If it pleases the king, let it be granted to the Jew who are in Shushan to do again tomorrow according to today's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged on the gallows."

9장에서는 아달월 곧 열두째 달 삼십일 왕의 어명을 시행하여 유다인들이 아하수에로 왕의 각 지방, 각 읍에서 자기들을 해하려고 한 자들을 죽였는데 그들을 막을 자가 없었다. 각 지방 모든 지방관과 대신들, 총독들, 왕의 사무를 보는 자들이 모르드개를 두려워하여 유다인을 돕고 모르드개는 왕궁에서 존귀하여 창대하며 그 명성이 각 지방에 퍼졌다. 유다인이 도성 수산에서 오백명을 진멸하고 하만의 열 아들을 죽였으나 그 재산에는 손을 대지 않았다. 또한 에스더의 소청에 따라 수산에 사는 유다인들에게 오늘과 같이 내일도 그리하게 하고 하만의 열아들을 나무에 달았다. 아달월 십삼일에는 그 일을 하였고 십사일에는 잔치했다.

10장에서는 아하수에로 왕이 본토와 바다의 섬들에게 조공을 바치게 하였다. 또한, 아하수에로 왕의 모든 행적과 모르드개를 높여 존귀하게 한 모든 사적이 메대와 바사 왕들의 일지에 기록되었다. 유다인 모르드개는 아하수에로 왕의 다음이 되고 유다인 중에서도 크게 존경을 받으며 그의 허다한 형제에게 사랑을 받고 또한 그가 그의 백성의 이익을 도모할 뿐 아니라 그 모든 종족을 안위하였다. 하나님께서는 에스더를 통하여 유다 민족을 구원하실 계획을 세우시고, 모르드개를 통해 아하수에로 왕을 살리시며 결국 아하수에로 왕을 통하여 그의 인장반지로 이스라엘을   구원하셨다.

(Job 1:12)And the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person." So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

1장에서는 우스 땅의 욥은 온전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하는 자로 아들 일곱과 딸 셋이 태어났으며 양 칠천, 낙타 삼천, 소 오백겨리, 암나귀 오백마리 등 많은  소유를 가진 동방에서 가장 훌륭한 자였다. 그의 자식들이 생일잔치를 하면 욥이 그들을 불러 성결하게 하고 명수대로 번제를 드렸다. 하루는 하나님의 아들과 사탄이 여호와 앞에 섰을 때에 여호와께서 사탄에게 욥과 같이 하나님을 경외하는 자는 세상에 없다고 말씀하심에 사탄이 주께서 그의 소유물을 울타리로 드르시기 때문이라고 하며 손을 펴서 그의 모든 소유물을 치시라고 하여 하나님의 허락을 받고   그 집을 쳐서 소와 나귀와 양과 소를 멸하고 낙타와 욕의 자녀들을 죽였고 주의  명대로 욥의 몸은 건드리지 않았다.

Esther 6 ~ Job 1
