(Proverbs 31:30~31 칭찬) Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. 하나님은 주의 자녀로 칭찬을 받게 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '르무엘 왕이 말씀한 바 곧 그의 어머니가 그를 훈계한 잠언이라'하며 그의 힘을 여자들에게 쓰지 말며 왕들을 멸망시키는데 쓰지 말고 포도주를 마시는 것이 왕들에게 마땅하지 아니하며 술을 마시다가 법을 잊어버리고 송사를 굽게 할까 두려워한다고 했다. 또한 독주는 죽게된 자에게 주라고 하며 '너는 입을 열어 공의로 재판하며 곤고한 자와 궁핍한 자를 신원할지니라'하며 현숙한 여인의 값은 진주보다 귀하고 그런 자의 남편은 그를 믿으며 그 산업이 핍절치 아니하며 상인의 배와 같아서 먼데서 양식을 가져오며 곤고한 자에게 손을 편다 했다. 아멘

God is the one who makes us praise His children. In today's text, it says, "The proverb that King Lemuel spoke, which his mother taught him." It says, "Do not use your power on women, nor use it to destroy kings. It is not for kings to drink wine, lest they forget the law and pervert their judgment." It also says, "Give strong drink to the one who is about to die." It says, "Open your mouth and judge righteously; defend the cause of the poor and needy." A virtuous woman is more precious than rubies, and her husband trusts in her, and her wealth is not lacking. She is like the ships of the merchant, bringing food from afar and extending a helping hand to the poor." Amen.
