(Ecclesiastes 2:24~25 바람) A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 수고함으로 기쁘고 즐겁게 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 자신이 어떻게 하여야 내 마음을 지혜로 다스리며 술로 육신을 즐겁게 할까? 천하의 인생들이 어떤 것이 선한 일인지 알아볼 때까지 자기 어리석음을 붙잡아 둘까 하여 자신의 사업을 크게 하고 과원을 만들고 과목을 심으며 남녀 노비를 사기도 하고 예루살렘의 모든 자보다 더 많은 소유를 가지고 처첩을 많이 두며 자신의 마음에 즐거워하는 것은 막지 않고 이것으로 기뻐하였으나, 그 모든 수고가 헛되어 바람을 잡으려는 것이라 했다. 또한 지혜자도 우매자도 함께 영원하도록 기억함을 얻지 못하니 지혜자와 우매자의 죽음이 일반이라 했다. 아멘

God is the one who makes His children happy and joyful through their labor. In today's text, he says, "How should I govern my heart with wisdom and delight my flesh with wine?" He enlarged his business, planted gardens, planted fruit trees, bought male and female slaves, and had more possessions than all the people of Jerusalem. He did not stop his heart from being happy and was delighted in this. However, all his labor was in vain and a chasing after the wind. He also said that neither the wise nor the foolish will be remembered forever, and the death of the foolish is common. Amen.
