성령 안에서 상호 의존하는 부모 되게 하소서(청소년기 자녀를 둔 부모를 위한 기도)
 
사랑의 하나님 아버지, 어느덧 우리 자녀가 자라서 십대가 되었고, 사춘기를 맞이하게 되었습니다.
 
그 전에는 부모에게 순종하며 부모와 끊임없이 이야기하고 함께 하던 아이가 이제는 많이 변한 것 같아 아쉽기도 합니다.
 
언성을 높이며 부모의 뜻을 받아들이려 하지 않을 때는 아프고 섭섭하기도 하지만 그 아이의 생각과 마음이 자라고 있음을 인정하게 하여 주옵소서.
 
이전의 권위적인 태도로 자녀와의 문제가 해결되지 않고, 자녀의 생각과 신념들을 어른처럼 대하는 것만으로도 문제가 해결되지 않음을 압니다.
 
자녀의 선택과 생각을 닌정하고 지원하는 과정 속에서 아이와 부모의 관계가 상호의존적인 관계로 발전되게 하옵소서.
 
특별히 삶에서 가장 중요한 십대를 보내고 있는 우리 아이가 하나님 앞에서 '나는 누구인지' 바로 알게 하시고, 하나님 나라와 영광을 위하여 자신의 삶을 어떻게 드릴지 확립하게 하여 부모로부터 건강한 분리가 일어나게 하옵소서.
 
성령의 법이 아이와 저 가운데 임하여 마찰보다 서로 이해하고 존중하는 마음이 가득하게 하여 주옵소서.

Let us become parents who are interdependent in the Holy Spirit (A prayer for parents of adolescent children)

God, our loving Father, our children have grown up and become teenagers, and are now entering puberty.

Before that, my child used to obey his parents and constantly talked to them and spent time with them, but now he seems to have changed a lot, and I feel sad about that.

When he raises his voice and refuses to accept his parents’ will, it hurts and I feel disappointed, but please help me recognize that his thoughts and heart are growing.

I know that problems with my children will not be solved by my previous authoritarian attitude, and that treating my children’s thoughts and beliefs like an adult will not solve the problem.

Please help the relationship between children and parents develop into an interdependent relationship through the process of supporting and respecting their children’s choices and thoughts.

Please help our children, who are going through the most important teenage years of their lives, to know clearly ‘who I am’ before God, and establish how to dedicate their lives for God’s kingdom and glory, so that they can achieve a healthy separation from their parents.

May the law of the Holy Spirit be with the child and me, so that we may be filled with mutual understanding and respect rather than friction.
