God is the one who strikes down the enemies of His children and goes out in a spurred manner. In today's text, He says, "Behold My servant, whom I uphold, My chosen one, in whom My soul delights," and that He will bring justice to the Gentiles. He also says that He will not cry out or break a bruised reed, but will bring justice into being, and the islands will look to His teaching. He says that God, who created the heavens and stretched them out, and gives breath to the people, has called Himself in righteousness, and that through Him the Lord will open the eyes of the blind and bring out from the prison those who sit in darkness. Let the wilderness and the cities therein, the villages of Kedar, lift up their voices, for the Lord will go out like a mighty man and cry out. Amen.
