(Jeremiah 17:6 심장) And they shall come from the cities of Judah and from the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin and from the lowland, from the mountains and from the South, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and incense, bringing sacrifices of praise to the house of the Lord. 하나님은 주의 자녀의 예배를 받으시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 유다의 피는 금강석 철필로 기록되되 그들의 마음판과 제단뿔에 새겨졌거늘 그들의 자녀가 높은 언덕 위 아세라들을 생각한다고 하며 주께서 무릇 사람을 믿으며 육신의 힘을 의지하는 사람은 저주를 받을 것이며, 여호와를 사랑하는 자는 복을 받을 것이라고 하고 그는 물가에 심기운 나무가 시절을 좇아 과실을 뿌리를 뻣치고 결실이 그치지 아니함 같을 것이라 했다. 또한 만물보다 심히 부패한 것은 마음이라 하고, 주께서 심장을 살피며 폐부를 시험하신다 했다. 주를 찬양한다.

God is the one who receives the worship of His children. In today’s text, the blood of Judah is written with a diamond pen; it is graven on the tablet of their heart and on the horns of their altars; their children remember the Asherahs that are on the high hills. The Lord says, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and relies on the strength of flesh, but blessed is the man who loves the Lord.” He says that he will be like a tree planted by the waters, which puts out its roots and never ceases to yield fruit in its season. He also says that the heart is desperately wicked above all things, and that the Lord searches the heart and tests the mind. Praise the Lord.
