친절의 성품 맺게 하소서
 
선하신 주님, 우리의 심령을 순전케 하여 주시어 우리가 악덕과 분노를 버리고 친절을 사모하길 원합니다.
 
그리하여 겉으로 드러나는 언행에도 친절함이 배어 있어 다른 이를 돕는 자가 되고, 이 사회와 나라에도 유연함과 믿음의 결단력으로 선한 영향력을 끼치며 그리스도와 연결하는 자가 되게 하옵소서.
 
부모된 저희가 엄격함으로 자녀를 대하는 권리를 포기함으로 하나님의 자비와 친절이 자녀의 삶으로 흘러가게 하옵소서.
 
그리하여 자녀가 존중과 공감으로서 친절을 베풀고, 거친 말이나 공격적 불편함이나 부담을 주는 자 되지 않게 하여 주옵소서.
 
자녀들이 자신이 중요한 사람이라고 알리기에 애쓰기 보다 상대방이 중요한 사람임을 알고, 하나님의 사람 받는 사람임을 느낄 수 있도록 친절함을 베풀게 하여 주옵소서.
 
다른 이들을 보살피고 북돋아 주는 것에 게으르지 않게 하시고 주님 사랑을 힘있게 실천할 수 있도록 몸의 건강도 더하여 주옵소서.
 
예수님을 닮아 말과 행실의 친절과 자비로 하나님의 교육의 모델이 되던 신앙의 선배들처럼 사랑의 증인으로 세워주실 것을 간구하오며 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
 
Let us have a kind disposition

Good Lord, purify our hearts so that we may cast away wickedness and anger and long for kindness.

So that kindness may permeate our outward words and actions, so that we may become people who help others, who have a good influence on this society and country with flexibility and the determination of faith, and who connect with Christ.

As parents, may we give up our right to be strict with our children, so that God’s mercy and kindness may flow into our children’s lives.

So that our children may show kindness with respect and empathy, and not be harsh, aggressive, uncomfortable, or burdensome.

Instead of trying to make our children know that they are important, may they show kindness so that they know that others are important and feel that they are people of God.

Please do not let them be lazy in caring for and encouraging others, and may you give them good health so that they can practice your love powerfully.

I pray in the name of Jesus that He will establish us as witnesses of love, like our predecessors in the faith who were models of God’s education through kindness and mercy in their words and actions, resembling Jesus. Amen.
