절제의 성품을 맺게 하소서
 
늘 좋은 것을 주시는 사랑의 하나님, 모든 것이 다 주께로부터 왔음을 고백하며 감사드립니다.
 
그러나 주님, 때때로 하나님이 주신 선물을 낭비하며 그 가치를 가볍게 여기는 죄를 범할 때도 있습니다.
 
하나님이 주신 시간을 낭비하고 물질을 허비하며 건강을 아무렇게나 취급하여 돌보지 않을 때도 있었습니다.
 
분명한 목표가 없음으로 인해 삶이 쉽게 혼란 속에 빠지기도 하고, 무절제한 생활 때문에 삶의 의미를 잃어버릴 때도 있었습니다.
 
주님, 저를 불쌍히 여기시어 부모로서 아이들에게 절제의 삶의 본을 보이게 하옵소서.
 
주님, 사랑하는 자녀가 절제가 힘들 수 있는 때이지만 잘못된 길에 빠지지 않고 하나님이 기뻐하는 뜻에 맞게 기꺼이 절제할 수 있는 은혜를 베풀어 주옵소서.
 
컴퓨터와 게임의 무절제로부터 건져주시고, 모든 시간을 지혜롭게 사용하여 낭비하지 않고, 자신의 건강을 잘 돌봄으로 몸으로 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하옵소서.
 
참고 견디는 것을 잘 훈련받아 하나님이 원하시는 '절제'의 삶을 사는 자녀가 되게 하옵소서.

Let me have a temperance

God of love who always gives good things, I confess and thank you that everything comes from you.

However, Lord, there are times when I commit the sin of wasting the gifts you have given me and taking their value lightly.

There were times when I wasted the time you gave me, wasted my material things, and treated my health carelessly and did not take care of it.

Because I did not have a clear goal, my life easily fell into confusion, and there were times when I lost the meaning of life because of my intemperate lifestyle.

Lord, have mercy on me and show me as a parent an example of a temperate life for my children.

Lord, please grant me the grace to not fall into the wrong path and willingly practice temperance according to the will of God, even though temperance may be difficult for my beloved children.

Please save me from intemperance on the computer and games, and let me use all my time wisely, not waste it, and take good care of my health so that I can glorify God with my body.

Please train me well to endure and become a child who lives the life of ‘temperance’ that God desires.

In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
