한 학기를 마무리하며 드리는 감사의 기도
 
때를 따라 도우시는 참 좋으신 하나님, 처음 학기가 시작 될 때에 여러모로 걱정과 기대가 가득했습니다.
 
하루 동안 자녀가 무엇을 배우고, 어떤 친구와 밥을 먹고, 선생님의 수업지도에 어떤 마음과 태도로 대하는지 일거수일투족이 다 궁금했고, 함께 할 수 없어 답답하기도 했습니다.
 
하지만 늘 신실하신 하나님이 도와주실 것을 믿고 기도하며 기대했습니다.
 
특히 귀한 선생님을 만나기를, 좋은 친구 만나 우정을 쌓아가기를, 학과목 가운데서 하나님의 진리를 발견하고, 성실하게 공부하기를 기도하며 걸어온 길을 돌아보면 어느 것 하나 주님이 간섭하지 않으신 일이 없었음을 고백합니다.
 
또한 학교와 우리 자녀를 위해서 기도하며 '기독학부모'로 살아가려는 노력을 아시고 왜곡된 교육관으로 하마터면 소중한 자녀와 주님을 놓치고 향방없이 방황하였을 것인데 '기독학부모'로 이끌어주신 주님께 감사를 드립니다.
 
주님의 뜻 가운데서 다음 학기도 인도하심을 받게 하옵소서.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving at the End of a Semester

God, who is so good and helps us at the right time, when the first semester started, I was filled with worries and expectations.

I was curious about what my child would learn during the day, what kind of friends he would eat with, and what kind of attitude and mindset he would have toward the teacher’s instruction. I was also frustrated that I could not be with him.

However, I prayed and hoped that the faithful God would help me.

In particular, I prayed to meet precious teachers, make good friends, and build friendships, discover God’s truth in the subjects he studied, and study diligently. Looking back on the path I have walked, I confess that there was not a single thing that the Lord did not intervene in.

Also, I pray for the school and our children, and I thank the Lord for knowing my efforts to live as ‘Christian parents’ and for leading me as ‘Christian parents’ when I almost lost my precious children and the Lord due to a distorted view of education and wandered without a direction.

Please let me be guided by the Lord’s will for the next semester as well.
