(Jeremiah 46:27 평안) “But do not fear, O My servant Jacob, And do not be dismayed, O Israel! For behold, I will save you from afar, And your offspring from the land of their captivity; Jacob shall return, have rest and be at ease; No one shall make him afraid. 하나님은 주의 자녀를 구원하시고 평안을 주시며 지키시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 이방나라들에 대하여 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 유다의 요시야 왕의 아들 여호야김 넷째 해에 느부갓네살 왕에게 패한 바로느고의 군대에 대하여 그들이 놀라서 물러가고 두려움이 그들 사방에 있다고 하고 발이 빠른 자도 도망하지 못하고 그들이 유브라데 강 가에 넘어지며 엎드러진다고 하고 애굽은 나일강이 불어나고 강물이 출렁임 같으며 주께서 그들이 달려나오는 보복일에 칼이 그들의 피를 넘치도록 마시게 하시고 유브라데 강가에서 희생제물을 받으실 것이라 했다. 애굽에서 자유케 하시는 주를 찬양한다.

God is the One who saves, gives peace, and protects His children. In today's text, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah concerning the foreign nations: "In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, the army of Pharaoh Necho was defeated by King Nebuchadnezzar. They are dismayed and retreat, and terror is all around them." He said, "The swift do not flee; they stumble and fall at the Euphrates River." He said, "Egypt is like the Nile, swollen and its waters roar. The Lord will make the sword drink their blood in the day of vengeance when they run, and He will accept their sacrifice at the Euphrates River." Praise the Lord who frees us from Egypt.
