(Jeremiah 47:4 칼) Because of the day that comes to plunder all the Philistines, To cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper who remains; For the Lord shall plunder the Philistines, The remnant of the country of Caphtor. 하나님은 주의 자녀의 대적들을 끊어 버리시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바로가 가사를 치기 전 블레셋 사람에 대하여 선지자 예레미야에게 임한 여호와의 말씀이라 하며 물이 북쪽에서 일어나 물결치는 시내를 이루어 그 땅과 그 중에 있는 모든 것과 그 성읍과 거기 사는 자들을 휩쓸 것이라 하며 군마의 발굽소리와 달리는 병거버퀴의 진동 소리로 인하여 아버지의 손맥이 풀려 자기 자녀를 돌보지 못할 것은 주께서 블레셋 사람을 유린하시며 두로와 시돈에 남아있는 바 도와줄 자를 다 끊어버리는 날이 올 것이기 때문이라 했다. 또한 여호와의 칼에 대해 칼집에 들어가 쉴 수 없는 것은 여호와의 명령대로 아스글론과 해변을 쳐야 하기 때문이라 했다. 아멘
