(Lamentations 1:17 시온) Zion spreads out her hands, But no one comforts her; The Lord has commanded concerning Jacob That those around him become his adversaries; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them. 하나님은 주의 성소로부터 주의 저녀에게 위로, 도움을 베푸시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '슬프다 이 성이여 전에는 사람이 많더니 이제는 어찌 그리 적막하게 되었는고'라고 하며 밤에 슬피우니 눈물이 뺨에 흐른다도 했다. 유다는 환난과 많은 고난 가운데에 사로잡혀갔다고 하며 그를 핍박하는 자들이 궁지에서 그를 뒤따라 잡았다고 하고 시온의 도로들이 슬퍼함이여 절기를 지키려 나아가는 자들이 없다고 하였다. 그의 대적들이 머리가 되고 그 원수들이 형통함은 그의 죄가 많기 때문이라고 하고 예루살렘은 옛날의 모든 즐거움을 기억하였다고 하고 그 도성이 크게 범죄함으로 사람들이 그의 벗었음으로 인하여 업신여겼다고 하고 이방인이 주의 성소에 들어왔다고 하며, 주께서 자신의 탄식을 돌보시길 구하였다. 아멘

God is the One who provides comfort and help to His daughter from His sanctuary. In today's text, he laments, "Alas, this city, once so full of people, how it is now desolate!" He laments at night, tears streaming down his cheeks. Judah is taken captive in trouble and great distress. Her persecutors have overtaken her in the lurch. The streets of Zion mourn, and no one goes out to celebrate the feasts. Her enemies are her leaders, and her enemies prosper because of her many sins. Jerusalem remembers all her former joys. She has sinned greatly, and people despise her because of her nakedness. She pleads that the Lord look upon her groaning. Amen.
